"Over You" on the Radio

Over You Review
Posted: 29 Sep 2009 | Melody
The Reviews reviewed Honor Society's single "Over You."
Honor Society wraps post-breakup angst into a cathartic, three-minute package on "Over You," the opening track from the group's just-released debut album, "Fashionably Late." The song is delivered with fierce precision by band members (and Jonas Brothers) Michael Bruno, Jason Rosen, Andrew Lee and Alexander Noyes. Its production is taut and unabashedly pop but also offers some added spice with a driving backbeat, pulsing synths and guitar licks worthy of arena rock. The lyrics are about stewing over an ex-girlfriend and the vocal riffs are short and smart, leaving space for the music to breathe. In those gaps of silence, inhale shifts to exhale and romantic frustration becomes fun. If this is what a breakup sounds like, it just might be worth the pain.

Honor Society - Fashionably Late - Review
Posted: 27 Sep 2009 | Melody
Fashionably Late At A Glance:
FABTASTIC!: Over You, Here Comes Trouble, Rock With You, Where Are You Now
Great: Full Moon Crazy, My Own Way, Two Rebels, Why Didn't I, Goodnight My Love, See U In The Dark, Nobody Has To Know, Sing For You, Don't Close The Book
OK:
Below Average:
What Were They Thinking?:
Honor Society, who are currently touring around the US must be quite happy with themselves at the moment. Why?, Well this, their amazingly covered and titled album - Fashionably Late, has the guys sitting at number 18 on the Billboard Top 200 - Great news! Anyway, this, their debut release, sits them somewhere between the late Michael Jackson (vocally at least!), Jesse McCartney, The Backstreet Boys, Hanson and any "rock" band you care to mention - And I'm quite taken with it and I'll definitely be spinning this one in time to come! But, On with my review we shall head

Pearl River, NY - Honor Society, one of the hottest up-and-coming pop bands in the nation, will make a special appearance at the Little Bit o’ Sole 5K Walk for Life on Oct. 4 at the Blue Hill complex in Pearl River.
The primary beneficiary of the event is the Active International Cardiovascular Institute (AICI) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern.
“We’re very excited to have Honor Society performing at the Walk for Life,” said Joe Allen, Senior Vice President of Community Affairs for Active International and co-chair of the Little Bit o’ Sole 5K Walk for Life. “The band is spending the entire summer playing sold-out shows with the Jonas Brothers, one of the most popular bands in the world, and the fact that they will be playing here in Rockland is pretty amazing.
